Understanding the Rules of Life: Predicting Phenotype

Rules of Life projects… may have these characteristics:

Addresses a fundamental question in the life sciences

Crosses different scales (spatial, temporal, levels of biological organization and complexity)

Generates results that will be broadly generalizable beyond the system under investigation, so that a rule can be formulated

Enables the forecasting or prediction of change in a biological system

The characteristics of the so-called “Rules of Life” were predicted in the context of Darwin’s “conditions of life,” and in What is Life? (1944)

Kohl’s Laws of Biology

…summary of Kohl’s Laws of Biology: 1) Life is nutrient-dependent. See for review (J. V. Kohl, 2012; M. Lynch, 2007). The physiology of reproduction is pheromone-controlled. See for review (J. V. Kohl, 2013). In the context of nutrient-dependent epigenetically-effected human reproduction, it is clearer that the epigenetic effects of human pheromones integrate neuroendocrinology and behavior (J. V. Kohl, et al., 2001), which includes the neuroendocrinology of mammalian behavior associated with the development of sexual preferences (J.V. Kohl, 2007).

Kohl’s Laws help to explain what was missing from Darwin’s ‘conditions of life.’ Darwin knew nothing about genetics, which means he knew nothing about the epigenetic effects of food odors or pheromones.

Finding this altogether implausible, as most people do, another leading philosopher, Thomas Nagel, wrote in 2012 that, given the scientifically inexplicable – the ‘intractable’ – character of human consciousness, ‘we will have to leave [scientific] materialism behind’ as a complete basis for understanding the world of human existence.

Several of the serious scientists who are also scheduled to present during Schrödinger at 75 – The Future of Biology – September 2018 have failed to leave scientific materialism behind. Scientific materialism is also known as scientism and historical materialism. It has virtually no appeal to anyone who has linked the creation of the sun’s anti-entropic virucdal energy to biophysically constrained viral latency via the microRNA-mediated physiology of pheromone-controlled reproduction in species from microbes to humans.

Addendum: When I first heard a lecture on microRNAs (in 2012), I asked the speaker if he was saying that every aspect of what happens to cell type differentiation occurs downstream from the creation of microRNAs. I was somewhat embarrassed when he replied “Yes, that’s what we’ve learned during the past 5-10 years.” But, others in the audience later assured me that this was a specialized field that most people in the medical profession had not learned anything about. I still felt bad, since I realized people were suffering and dying from that ignorance. Now, I feel worse.

Phototaxis must first be linked to energy-dependent pH-taxis and chemotaxis, which is why I commented on her publication of The dark side of the new popularity of cryo-electron microscopy. It appeared to be yet another attempt to keep people in the dark about what is already known to serious scientists about light-activated endogenous substrates and cell type differentiation.

My invited review of nutritional epigenetics was returned without review and Briegel has since decided it is a good idea for reviewers to be fair. I will add that blocking specific people from seeing your tweets is not an effective strategy. Simply put, it is not fair. If it was, the President of the United States of America would probably have used a tweet blocking strategy by now.
Instead, he was falsely accused of censorship when the director of the CDC suggested that certain key words, such as “transgender” should not be used in funding attempts. What about Briegel’s censorship?
I suspect that President Trump will keep tweeting away in his attempts to drain the academic swamp. In any case, that’s what I will keep doing. Watch what happens to those who hide their claims each time a serious scientist asks them to explain why they failed to link their results from quantum physics to quantum souls — in the context of words that might otherwise be used in future funding attempts. For example, words like food and energy could be used in funding attempts that would clearly show that food energy biophysically constrains viral latency.

In recent years, the UMass Amherst microbiologists and physicists working with Geobacter species developed a hypothesis for how its e-pili are able to conduct electric current based on the presence of aromatic amino acids in the pilin subunits. They have used this characteristic — a high density of aromatic amino acids and a lack of substantial aromatic-free gaps along pilin chains — to select candidate pili genes from other microorganisms, including many difficult-to-culture microorganisms.

If their hypothesis includes any aspect of what others have reported in the context of ridiculous neo-Darwinian theories, they may report that the aromatic amino acids in the pilin subunits created themselves and then evolved into the food energy-dependent pheromone-controlled amino acid substitutions that stabilize the organized genomes of all living genera.

The deck building cards are simple and clean, but offer a number of interesting combinations. Players also have an energy track that allows them to store energy, which introduces a “push-their-luck” type of mechanic enabling players to pay energy to shuffle through their deck quicker, or to offset the cost of more powerful deck building cards.

…modified an endogenous Bacteroides promoter sequence to be inducible—it could be turned on or off in mice by adding or omitting an effector molecule in the animals’ drinking water (see illustration). Sonnenburg’s system, on the other hand, used a viral promoter that upregulated gene expression to 70-fold higher than the type of promoter used by Goodman’s team. The viral promoter had the power to drive levels of fluorescent protein expression high enough to visualize bacteria in the mouse gut—a previously impossible feat.

The “effector molecule” links the food energy-dependent physiology of reproduction to all biodiversity via changes in the microRNA/messenger RNA balance, which biophysically constrain the virus-driven degradation of messenger RNA that causes all pathology. The viral load of cell types can be measured via fluorescence but the measurements of energy refute every aspect of all claims placed into the context of neo-Darwinian evolution.
Anyone still touting any aspect of neo-Darwinian evolution can now be categorized as a “loser.” But, be careful. There are more of them than those who have been Combating Evolution to Fight Disease
My comment to Science:

Darwin probably anticipated the insemination of population genetics that led to the bastardization of his detailed observations in the “Modern Synthesis.” He politely insisted that ‘conditions of life’ be considered before natural selection.

There are two ‘conditions of life.’ It is nutrient-dependent and pheromone-controlled. Rosenberg and Queitsch now note the work with Dobzhansky’s rarely acknowledged claim: “I am a creationist and an evolutionist.” They also declare the need for “Deep understanding of the mechanisms that generate variation at the molecular level…”

Deep understanding of the ‘conditions of life’ does not come from theory.

Problems with the “modern synthesis” now lead us back to the facts about biologically-based cause and effect that Darwin and Dobzhansky approached with humility, which are the same biological facts that evolutionists approached with ignorance about behavioral affects and the arrogance that accompanies that ignorance. Rosenberg and Queitsch echo the sentiments of those who have been subjected to academic suppression.

Clearly, however, “nothing in evolution makes sense except in the light of biology” is not an exaggeration. It is a common sense statement about the biologically plausible genesis of functional cell types. Population genetics and evolutionary theories abandoned the biophysical constraints of ecological variation and the physiology of reproduction, which enable epigenetically-effected nutrient-dependent pheromone-controlled receptor-mediated ecological adaptations and species diversity via the complexities of protein folding and niche construction.

It’s time for biophysicists to tell theorists and pathologists how to differentiate between theories about the genesis of different cell types and the biological facts about the nutrient-dependent pheromone-controlled ecological adaptations that enable the genesis of different cell types in individuals of different species. Simply put, it’s time to stop trying to explain ecological adaptations in the context of mutations and evolution.
